New York has a busy week with important Pre-COP26 events

Two very important events take place this week in New York City. Climate Week NYC, organized by the Climate Group and the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

The opening of the Climate Week took place this Monday, September 20, with the participation of government leaders, companies and organizations from around the world, who, during the event, will present the main climate actions that should be adopted in the coming years. The UN General Assembly began today, September 21, and the opening speech was given by the President of Brazil, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, followed by the President of the United States, Joe Biden and several other leaders.

Both events play a key role in tackling climate change and striving for sustainability, as they precede a United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, between November 1 and 12 this year.
